Annette Simons, Illumination's Executive Director, is an arts management professional. For more than 15 years, she has been on staff at the Music Center, where she is currently Executive Director of Institutional Giving. For nearly a decade, she served as Managing Director of the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, for which she produced some 20 concerts annually, in venues that included The Getty Center, the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre, Zipper Concert Hall, and Miles Memorial Playhouse as well as art galleries and private homes. She was a Santa Monica Arts Commissioner for eight years, including two as Chair. Other affiliations include New York City Ballet and Calliope Media. Ms. Simons holds an M.F.A. degree in Performing Arts Management from CUNY at Brooklyn College and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
